A "minor exemption" is a measure that allows for an exception to certain regulations. It can be granted when it's demonstrated that there is no other way to ensure a project's compliance. However, it must still respect the spirit of the existing regulations.

The applicant can, if desired, present their request in person and argue their case during the CCU meeting where their request is on the agenda. The building inspector will gladly organize this meeting.
Fee: $250, payable upon request submission.
Certain projects located in areas with steep slopes (15% to less than 30%), in wetland protection areas and mountainous areas are subject to the regulation on PIIA. These projects undergo a qualitative evaluation when applying for a permit or certificate.
