The Municipality of Bolton-Est is proud of its hiking trails located in an exceptional natural environment which allows you to discover the richness and beauty of its flora and fauna.
The Sandpit Trail starts at the Terrio municipal park (18, Terrio Street ) and is a 2.4 km loop.
Along this trail, you will walk through a sandpit and come across a marsh, a stream, a maple grove and an observation point that allows you to admire a splendid waterfall that descends from the mountain and joins the Missisquoi-Nord River.

6 or 8 km (round trip), depending on where you park.
For the long route (8km), you can start in the heart of Bolton-Est, at Terrio Municipal Park . On its 1st km, the trail runs along the river on Terrio Street , crosses a 1st bridge, continues on Route 245 and Bolton-Centre Road, crossing a 2nd bridge that gives a splendid view of the floodplain on the Missisquoi North.
After a left turn onto Route 245 and at the next intersection another left turn onto Chemin de Bolton-Centre, we cross the second bridge and enter the forest for 3 km.
To enter the forest directly, you can use the parking lot located a little further on the Bolton-Centre road and retrace your steps. (See the map)
This trail can be done as a round trip (total 6 or 8 km, depending on your exact starting point). You can also do a loop by joining the Mont Foster trail, which is part of the Sentiers de l'Estrie network ($).

Located on Route 245 in Bolton-Est, this parking lot gives you access to the Eastman and Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton trails.
