Sports and cultural activities
For requests for medical assistance and the purchase of cloth diapers, simply send proof of purchase (invoice) and proof of residence to communautaire@boltonest.ca.
The Accès-Loisirs program is a provincial initiative designed to make sports, cultural and outdoor leisure activities accessible free of charge to people aged 0 to 99 living on low incomes, in collaboration with local partners.

To register for activities and fill out the cultural form, you must reside in one of the six (6) participating municipalities (Austin, Bolton-Est, Eastman, Potton, Stukely-Sud, St-Étienne-de-Bolton) and present yourself at one of the service points with your proof of income (examples: income tax return (Notice of Assessment), pay stub, claim booklet (social assistance recipients) or any other document indicating your income). Availability of activities depends on places offered by partner leisure organizations.

The Municipality of Bolton-Est has set up an assistance program for citizens who need to repair or replace an obsolete or non-compliant septic system.
Assistance covers the following costs:
Subject to certain conditions, it provides a cash advance of up to $30,000, repayable over a 20-year period.
By-law 2022-411 concerning an assistance program for septic systems
The Québec government offers a tax credit to owners of isolated residences who wish to upgrade their septic systems. For tax years 2023 to 2027, the credit can be up to $5500, depending on the type of building.
In order to encourage the acquisition of a biodigester (green cone) or a domestic composter, the Municipality of Bolton-Est offers a subsidy to its citizens in the form of a cash rebate.
The subsidy granted by the municipality is :
The grant is available to residential property owners and permanent residents only.
A subsidy may be granted for one (1) domestic composter and one (1) domestic biodigester per residence every five years.
To benefit from this subsidy, you must:

The request must be made within six (6) months of the biodigester or backyard composter purchase.

Applicants wishing to receive financial assistance under our Policy to Support Municipal Organizations and Committees must meet the following criteria:
To apply for financial support, simply fill out the application form and submit it before October 1 of the year preceding the year for which the application is made.
Applications will be evaluated by the municipal council and the cultural and community development committees in accordance with our Policy on support for municipal organizations and committees. Amounts will be paid in April of the year for which the application was made.

The municipality of Bolton-Est has set up a financial assistance program for organizations working to protect the environment. This program subsidizes various activities aimed at preserving and improving the environment on its territory. Applications are made in the fall of each year for the following year.
Projects must fall into one of the following categories:
Please note that the Municipality may contact the applicant for further details during the project evaluation process, which is carried out by the Municipality's Advisory Committee on the Environment (CCE).
The Municipality will contact each applicant at the beginning of the following year and inform them of the projects accepted or the reasons for refusal, as the case may be. In the case of acceptance, the letter will indicate the amount granted and the conditions of the grant, if any.
The Municipality requests that a summary of the project's progress be submitted by October 1 of the year for which the grant is awarded. This summary must show the results obtained and expenses incurred up to that date.
The final summary and invoices must also be sent to the Municipality by November 15 of the same year. Upon acceptance of this report and the invoices or other supporting documents, payment of said invoices will be made within a period prescribed by the Municipality. Payment will be made in part or in full, according to the conditions set out in the letter of agreement.
