Municipal committees
The advisory committees of the Municipality of Bolton-Est ensure citizen participation in the orientations and the realization of actions in various fields of interest to the Municipality.
Committees are created by decision of the municipal council. They have for mandate to advise the council on matters referred to them and to make recommendations to the council on matters concerning their respective mandates.

Environmental Advisory Committee (CCE)
This committee is made up of elected officials, employees and citizens. It meets approximately once a month.
Mandate
- Make recommendations to the Municipal Council on all environmental issues and requests;
- Recommend environmental programs and projects to Council;
- Recommend to Council modifications to any environmental program or project;
- Recommend any measures or actions to achieve the environmental objectives and orientations of the Master Plan;
- Formulate opinions and recommendations concerning municipal environmental bylaws;
- Recommend to Council promotional and awareness-raising initiatives and tools with respect to programs or any other relevant subject concerning environmental protection.

Urban Planning Advisory Committee (CCU)
This committee is made up of elected officials, employees and citizens. They meet approximately once a month.
Mandate
- Formulate its opinion (in compliance with the responsibilities conferred on a committee by the Act respecting land use planning and development), on any request or file concerning :
- A minor variance;
- A comprehensive development plan (CDP);
- A site planning and architectural integration program (SPAIP);
- A request for authorization of a conditional use;
- A request for a specific construction, alteration or occupancy project, or a construction or subdivision project due to certain constraints.
- Study any file or issue relating to urban planning and land development submitted to it by the municipal council, make a recommendation and report back to the council;
- At Council's request, make recommendations on MRC planning or regulations applicable to the municipality's territory.

Culture

Mandate
- Promote culture by creating and proposing a calendar of activities and events within the community, in collaboration with neighboring municipalities;
- Monitor the cultural policy and make recommendations to the municipal council regarding the territory's cultural development.

Community Development
The committee is made up of elected officials, municipal employees and citizens. It meets approximately once a month.
Mandate
- Organize municipal and community activities;
- Develop and implement policies, programs and action plans;
- Ensure the vitality of community life through harmonious implementation of the family policy, the strategic development plan and land use planning;
- Enhance natural environments by creating active living spaces that respect the environment and tranquility.
