Municipal Elections
In Bolton-Est, as in all Quebec municipalities, general elections are held on a fixed date every four years, on the first Sunday in November. The next election will take place on November 2, 2025. Citizens eligible to vote will elect a mayor and six councillors.
Good to know
- Advance voting will take place on Sunday, October 26, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- General voting will take place on Sunday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- The polling station is located at Centre St-Patrick, 854, route Missisquoi, Bolton-Est (Québec) J0E 1G0.
- Make sure you know your polling division (1, 2 or 3). You'll be asked for it at the polling station. Consult the maps below to identify your division.
Polling Divisions
Who can vote?
To vote in the municipal election, you must meet certain conditions. These include:
- 18 years of age on polling day;
- Be a Canadian citizen;
- Be registered on the voters' list.
You must also meet one of the following two conditions:
- Be domiciled in the municipality and, for at least six months, in Québec;
- Be, for at least 12 months, the owner of a building or the occupant of a business establishment located on the territory of the municipality.

Who can run for a board position?
- Any person who is entitled to be registered on the municipality's electoral list;
- Any person who has resided continuously or otherwise on the territory of the municipality for at least 12 months as of September 1 of the calendar year in which the general election is to be held.
To submit your candidacy, you must submit a duly completed declaration of candidacy to the municipality's returning officer between September 19 and October 3, 2025, no later than 4:30 p.m.
