It is with great pleasure that the Bolton-Est Cultural Committee invites you to not one, not two, but three visual arts exhibitions this summer!
From June 14, come and admire the work of local artist Chloé Beaulac, who has the honour of inaugurating our brand-new outdoor exhibition panels in Terrio Park (18, rue Terrio).
Entitled Ces lieux qui nous traversent, the exhibition takes visitors on an inner, symbolic journey through ten works from two bodies of work: Lieu saint and Ces lieux qui nous habitent.
The official opening will take place on June 14, at 10:30 a.m. Come and hear a few words from the artist, attend a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, and share a convivial moment over mimosas and viennoiseries.
This summer-long outdoor exhibition is made possible by a grant from the Memphrémagog MRC, through its Fonds régions et ruralité - volet culturel program.
Then, from June 28 to July 6, Bolton's 11th Vitrine des Arts will take place in the Centre St-Patrick, a former Anglican church designated as a heritage building (854, route Missisquoi).
The group show will feature the work of 30 artists from the Missisquoi North region, representing a wide range of disciplines: painting, sculpture, glass, stained glass, photography and more.
This year's spokesperson is painter Monique Cantin, from Magog, a versatile artist whose work ranges from portraits to abstract and Pop Art.
Visitors are welcome every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is free.
Later this summer, photographer Richard Geoffrion will occupy the Centre St-Patrick with his project Où va la vie? an invitation to question the foreseeable consequences of the programmed destruction of our environment.
The exhibition runs from July 23 to August 3. Visitors can drop in daily between noon and 6 p.m. Admission is free.
