Questions and comments were addressed to council regarding the following topics. This list is not necessarily limited to:

Day Camp

  • A citizen states that the family allowance of $250.00 is insufficient. For example, she has enrolled her two children for 6 weeks each. Potton residents pay $420.00 for 6 weeks and non-residents pay $840.00.
  • A second comment is made suggesting that if the budget is not depleted, it could be used to assist families whose children are registered in Day Camp.

Fire Services

  • Mr. Théorêt mentions that after having performed security inspections on private roads, Austin’s Fire Chief raises some concerns regarding chemin Fontaine. Mr. Mayor or the Executive Director will meet with Fire Chief Mr. Robitaille.

High Speed Internet

  • Mr. Labonville mentions that he had a subscription with Barrett, however he cancelled his subscription with a penalty because the speed in the evening was too slow and he had trouble using the system.

Library

  • Mr. Labonville asks whether chemin Bellevue residents could be granted permission to use Eastman’s library.

Note: “Minutes of the municipal council sitting are available after their adoption at the following sitting. In the event of a disparity between the minutes and these highlights (web site and Insight), the minutes will prevail.”
