HIGHLIGHTS
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING – AUGUST 16TH 2011

Mayor and four council members present.

The Council:

Administration

  • Adopted a reimbursement policy for meals: breakfast: $15, Lunch: $20, and Supper: $35;
  • Granted a mandate to the Jacques Blanchard Study to produce a technical description of the 36.8 km of municipal roads for the amount of $20,054 plus taxes;
  • Granted a mandate to Boisclair & Lefebvre to conduct ground staking at the Town Hall for an amount of $800, plus taxes;
  • Requested from the Jacques Blanchard Study to provide a price for surveying and staking of Terrio Park and land acquired last December and that the registration numbers associated with these two lands be consolidated into one;
  • Authorized the rental of postal meter Neopost IS-350 for the cost of $49.99 per month, plus taxes;

Environment / Land Use Planning

  • Positively received the request from the “René Gemme Inc.” developers for a residential development project called “Au tournant de la rivière” and recommended that a permit certificate be issued for the construction of a road on the municipality of Bolton-Est territory;
  • Authorized the charge of $1,350 plus taxes for the amendment of two regulations on fences and updating of these projects;
  • Given a notice of motion –Permit regulation and certificate (fences) called law Number 2011-244;
  • Given a notice of motion – Zoning (fences) Regulation called law Number 2011-245.

Infrastructure

  • Requested from the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy to allow the Municipality of Bolton-Est to submit the project as submitted by XIT Telecom from their first tender and confirm project eligibility for grant payment as part of the “Communautés Rurales Branchées” program;
  • Authorized the purchase and installation of streetlights and sentries at Terrio Park at a maximum cost of $7,049.82 plus taxes.
